Want to play cricket in Tonbridge? Cowdrey CC is recruiting

Come and play cricket in Tonbridge!

Cowdrey Cricket Club is recruiting new members of all ages & abilities for the 2017 season!

Whether you’re young or old, amateur or pro, batsman, bowler, specialist fielder or perpetual 12th man, Cowdrey CC has plenty to offer. We provide competitive cricket in Tonbridge, with both 1st and 2nd Saturday XIs in Division 4 of the Kent Cricket League. We typically employ the services of an overseas player, who, in addition to strengthening the 1st XI, offers coaching and fitness training to our members.

Cricket is great fun and attracts people from all walks of life. The sport provides excellent exercise, requiring use of all the body’s muscle groups, and is a great way to keep fit in a social environment. Cowdrey members benefit from freely available coaching, both 1-on-1 and group, throughout the season and during winter nets. The club encourages members to make use of its training sessions (Thursdays, 6.30pm-dusk, Swanmead), and to play Sunday friendly fixtures.

Cowdrey CC provides a welcoming social scene, and enjoyment is key to us. The club is built on a friendly, inclusive atmosphere, and offers a wealth of enjoyment besides cricket. We recently renovated our clubhouse and bar area, adding TVs, a fully stocked bar, pool table and dartboard. The clubhouse is usually full after a Saturday game, members from all our teams and the opposition joining in celebration or consolation. Our well-attended club day, held in August every year, is a favourite amongst players of all ages, and gives the club the opportunity to spend a day celebrating the game and its members together.
